Safe to Grow Policy

The safety and wellbeing of the children and young people in the company is of paramount importance. The 6^th West Kent Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Association comes under the guidance of Baldwyns Park Baptist Church and follows The Child Protection Policy.  There are three key people involved in the Safe to Grow scheme of the church:

Rev. Tony Green is the Minister of the church and the Chaplain of the Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association.

Janette Cook is the Independent Person. She is independent of all youth work in the church, and has the responsibility for championing young people within the church.

Terry Millar is the Responsible Person.  He has oversight of all child safety issues in the church and will normally deal with any concerns.

Any concerns that you or your children have can be shared with any of the officers or any of the above three people. Normally the Responsible Person will be accountable for dealing with any concerns in consultation with all parties involved.  If the concern regards the Responsible Person then the Minister will deal with the matter.
